Chase The Sun Trail Run

The Chase The Sun Trail Run is a Saturday evening cruise through the trails of Tucson Mountain Park, on January 23, 2010.

Enjoy running a 10k course that is clearly marked and precisely measured, and in a relaxed and fun setting. We'll have refreshments, including hot chocolate, waiting for you at the finish.

Where?

Registration, start, and finish will be at Ironwood Picnic Area (follow link to map).

When?

Saturday, January 23, 2010
Registration opens at 3:30 p.m.
Start at 4:30 p.m.
Finish by 6:00 p.m. (or by 6:30 if you bring a headlamp!)

Note that sunset is at 5:48 p.m., Civil Twilight ends at 6:15 p.m., and moonrise isn't until 12:47 a.m., so you really will want to bring a headlamp if you're not sure you'll be done by 6:00 or 6:15.

How far?

10k (maybe plus or minus a couple dozen meters)

Why?

For fun, of course! ...and fresh air and exercise.
